Lamb burger restaurant outlet

The best lamb burgers I have ate came from Basque restaurant outlets in California.
One that I used to frequent the most was the Woolgrowers Restaurant in downtown Bakersfield,Calif.
This outlet has the best hosts of all and you can eat family style at a table which seats 20 people or you can choose a booth.
They also have a bar and you can drink a mix or beer while you eat.
They also have a banquet room where people can have a buisness meeting or birthday party.
The meals consist of soups, basque bread, french fries, pickled tomatoes, pickled tongue, salads and your choice of Beef,Lamb or pork as a main course.
This made me hungry for a Lamb Chop smothered in Gravy and served with Gramma's Buttermilk Bisquits.
Try the outlet at Woolgrowers Restaurant in Bakersfield,Calif.the next time you visit.

Lamb Burgers

I raised sheep for an Future Farmers of America project in High School and can remember the fine Dinners my family made with the lambs we raised.
Here is one great recipe for any occasion that may come to one's mind, like Easter Dinner.

Lamb Burgers with Roquefort Cheese

Lamb is the ideal meat for burgers, as it has loads of flavor. Add bits of beef fat and place little pockets of Roquefort cheese inside each patty. This lamb recipe is a real treat when served with mayonnaise, jalapeno peppers and fried onions.

Ingredients;1 lb ground lamb
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1 onion, finely diced
Salt and pepper
Handful rosemary leaves,cut thin
1 cup cracker crumbs
10 oz crumbly Roquefort cheese
2 onions finely sliced
Directions;
In a large bowl, combine ground meats, egg, diced onion, salt and pepper, and rosemary. Mix well with your hands to combine.
Add cracker crumbs until the mixture binds together.

For each burger patty, grab a good handful of the meat mixture.
Divide in half and crumble about an ounce of blue cheese into the middle before shaping each patty.

Grill on high heat for three minutes per side for pink meat.

For garnish, gently fry the sliced onions over a medium-high heat with a few sprigs of rosemary until brown and crispy.
Garnish each burger with onions and nice jalapeno slices..
